"One Carolina Morning"/$165.00

A winter visit to Salisbury, North Carolina a few years ago proved to be an inspirational visit as I have never lived on a farm, I'm a city girl, spoiled by my ambitious hubby, by all the wonderful stores nearby, and by my pursuit of things pertaining to culture, such as dance, music, and of course the visual arts. Nature has a way of calming us down, reminding us that it's ok to be passive, complacent, as long as we let nature take it's course, treasure it with gratitude for we all live off one another, the trees, animals, sky, land, everything with breath, and so it was with this cow, he was wondering why I was there and I was wondering is he scared of me or what?

Fall At Saltfork Park 11"x14", oil on canvas-$135.00

Fall is such a beautiful season, but so fleeting. Reds, golds, browns, yellows, purples, and like a symphony, join one another in dances across the sky with the wind. Back to what's happening now, last week I had the rare chance of seeing the "Kimono Show" at the Canton Art Museum. Go! It will inspire and awe you!

Lady by the Sea $600.00

This is an acrylic painting based on a photograph I took 12 years ago of a sunrise at Myrtle Beach. What a wonderful way to start the day. Vacationing, my bed beconing me to stay, I knew glories of the morning horizon along the shore were awaiting me to capture their moments in a painting, and so I had to get up and see the treasures outside.

March 16, 2009, Welcome to my new blog! Swan at Lake Anna /Sold

I'm a painter working in acrylics and oils. I paint all subject matter, anything that is interesting and memorable. However, I mainly paint landscapes with an accasional portrait or figure thrown in. I believe that paintings are a window to God's blessings, and a window to our dreams. Therefore, I can't ever stop, I keep looking for the ultimate subject and representation of the spirit, for in our lifetime there is potential for infinite gifts and surprises that we don't expect but welcome as the food for our souls.
